This map shows the various news outlets (including the 14 that were audited for this study) that provide coverage for and about the six communities of color in central Nassau County, NY. Media outlets in this study ranged from major market broadcast outlets like WABC Eyewitness News, with a viewership of more than 2 million; to large regional publications like Newsday, with a readership of around 1 million; to hyperlocal newspapers such as the Elmont Herald and the Freeport Herald, with circulations of around 5,000 each.
